Situated in its own private concession within the Kruger National Park, Hoyo Hoyo probably has one of the most innovating designs of any lodge, with traditional thatched beehive huts modelled on the homesteads of the local Tsonga people, who also own and run the lodge. Inside the beehives, bright vibrant colours are matched with modern furnishings and air-conditioning: there’s no slumming it here, despite the fact that it’s one of the more affordable private safari lodges.
