The Cape Region is an integral part of any trip to South Africa, and its attractions are so plentiful that it is worth spending significant amounts of time here to really get to know it. There is cosmopolitan Cape Town with all its history and amazing location, and the Cape Peninsula, one of the most beautiful, interested and underrated parts of the country. Only slightly further a field are the mountains, vineyards, stunning vintages and gorgeous restaurants of the Winelands and the steep cliffs of the Whale Coast that play host to southern rights and humpbacks in season. Then, to slow the pace a bit, travel to Paternoster for a few days on the beach to relax and unwind before returning home.
